According to the Index, Lehigh Regional Medical Center also received “A” grades in Value of Care, Patient Outcomes, Clinical Outcomes, and Cost Efficiency, key metrics that contribute to the overall rating. Lehigh Regional Medical Center ranked 2nd in Florida, and Top 100 in the Nation for Cost Efficiency, and #3 in the state for Clinical Outcomes.
The Lown Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility utilizes more than 50 metrics to assess how well hospitals succeed at being care providers, employers, and community partners. Data sources include Medicare claims, CMS patient safety data and hospital cost reports, and IRS 990 forms, among others.
Lehigh Regional Medical Center was most recently recognized by Healthgrades as a 2023 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ recipient, placing the hospital among the top 5% of all short-term acute care hospitals. This is the 5th consecutive year Lehigh Regional Medical Center has received the Healthgrades Patient Safety Award, and the 3rd year to be named among the Top 5% in the Nation for Patient Safety.
